Already in mid-1932, the French engine manufacturer Gnome-Rhône expressed interest in equipping its engine with the P.11 design, counting on export orders. In the same year, at the International Air Show, a prototype was presented in the colors of the Polish Air Force - P.11/IV with a Gnome-Rhône 9Kcr Mistral engine with a power of 550 hp. It attracted the interest of the Turkish, Romanian, Portuguese, Greek, Swedish, Czechoslovak, Japanese and Yugoslav Air Forces.
