The float version of the An-2P was developed in 1955. The floats are 24 feet long with a very shallow draft (2 feet). In addition to special connections for float rudders, a reverse pitch screw and a special adjuster screw are used.
Floats and a reverse propeller can be fitted to any An-2 variant, with a conversion time of 20 hours using 4 people. When fitted with floats, the An-2's payload is reduced by about 600 pounds.
