MiG-25 (NATO reporting name: Foxbat) is a Soviet high-altitude fighter-interceptor, the world's first serial fighter to reach speeds of over 3000 km/h. In the MiG-25R variant, it is capable of performing reconnaissance missions.
The MiG-31 aircraft was a further development of the project.
MiG-25PD ("Product 84D") is a modified interceptor. Developed in 1976-1978 after the MiG-25P was stolen from Japan. The equipment was changed, and R-15BD-300 engines were installed. It was produced since 1979.
