Description
Unlike the D-2 modification aircraft and their tropical version D-4 (initially called Ju 88D-2 / Trop), the Ju 88D-1 scout cameras were not located in the rear bomb bay, but behind it in the fuselage. Two photo hatches were located one after the other to the right of the longitudinal axis; however, three photo installations were provided inside the fuselage. For some reason, the third camera (to the left of the axis behind the flight) was not mounted on the D-1 and a window was not cut in the skin for it. It is interesting that the prototype of the A-4 bomber, which made its first flight on November 1, 1940, was converted into a scout while still on the runways, and strictly speaking, it is difficult to say which of the machines appeared earlier: Ju 88A-4 or Ju 88D-1 .
The set includes plastic parts, a decal for four marking options, detailed instructions and a painting scheme.
