Description
The Douglas A-26 Invader was the best American twin-engine bomber of World War II. He had high flight data and carried powerful weapons. It was produced in 1942-1945. 1,355 A-26B aircraft were produced with a solid nose (6-8 12.7 mm Browning MG) and 1,091 A-26C aircraft with a glazed nose, which included a bomber navigator seat.
From 1948 to 1966, the A-26 Invader was designated the B-26. This aircraft participated in the Korean War (1950-1953). They were used from the first to the last days of this war to attack forward enemy positions, railways and highways.
