The German heavy anti-tank self-propelled gun Jagdpanther (Sd.Kfz. 173) was created on the basis of the Panther Ausf. G tank and is considered one of the best German vehicles of its class during World War II due to the combination of a powerful 88-mm Pak 43/3 L/71 gun, good armor and high mobility. It was put into production in October 1943, and a total of 413 serial vehicles were manufactured, which were used in heavy anti-tank battalions from the summer of 1944.
