"Teplushka" - a freight two-axle railway car, created on the basis of a covered freight car, was intended for the transportation of goods requiring protection from atmospheric influences, as well as people and animals. The term wagon- "car" appeared in the 1870s as an abbreviation for the name "insulated wagon". Created in 1875, the commodity covered railway two-axle wagon, as the main type of wagon on Russian railways, had a constructive possibility of its rapid conversion for the mass transportation of people in case of emergency.
