Soviet operational-tactical missile system developed by the Kolomna Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering under the leadership of Sergei Pavlovich Invincible. The development of the Oka army missile system began in the mid-1970s at the Design Bureau under the leadership of Invincible S.P. The complex was intended to replace the 9K72 (Scud) missile system. State tests were carried out in 1977-1979, during which 26 missiles were launched. 3 SPU, 2 TZM and 2 TM, a simulator and technological equipment were put on state tests. The complex was put into service in 1980.
