ZSU-23-4 "Shilka" is a Soviet-made anti-aircraft self-propelled gun designed for direct anti-aircraft cover of ground forces, destruction of air targets flying at speeds of up to 450 m/s, at distances of up to 2,500 meters and heights of up to 1,500 meters, and as well as ground (surface) targets at a distance of up to 2000 meters from a place, from a short stop and in motion.
It was part of the air defense units of the ground troops of the regimental level.
