The T-72B3 is a Russian main battle tank of the T-72 family. The modification was developed as a cheap alternative to the T-90A until a new generation of tanks was received by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
It is a relatively simple upgrade of the T-72B tank, with some parameters brought up to the level of the T-90A. Currently, the T-72B3 is being upgraded to replace the existing T-72.
Upgrading the T-72B to the level of the T-72B3 costs 52,000,000 rubles in 2013 prices, of which 30,000,000 rubles are spent on the overhaul of the tank, the remaining amount is spent on the purchase of new devices selected by the customer.
