SMK (from Sergey Mironovich Kirov) is an experimental Soviet heavy tank of the late 1930s. One of the last Soviet tanks with a multi-turret layout (armament was located in two towers). It served as the basis for the development of the KV heavy tank. Together with the T-100 experimental heavy tank of the same type and the prototype of the KV tank, it underwent front-line tests during the Finnish War - it was used in battles on the Mannerheim Line, where it was blown up by a mine and was later evacuated. Following the results of comparative tests, which revealed the clear advantages of the KV tank, the SMK was not adopted (although it was initially recommended for adoption by the Red Army) and was not mass-pr
