ZSU-57-2 - Soviet anti-aircraft self-propelled gun, armed with two 57-mm automatic guns. "ZSU" means "Anti-aircraft self-propelled gun", which means "anti-aircraft self-propelled gun", "57" - the diameter of the weapon barrel in millimeters, "2" - the number of gun barrels.
It was the first Soviet serial tracked ZSU.
The ZSU-57-2 officially entered service with the Soviet Army in 1955. The first vehicles began to replace the BTR-40A and BTR-152A in the anti-aircraft batteries of tank regiments in 1957. It was first shown publicly during a military parade in Moscow on November 7, 1958.
