BREM-1 to support the Soviet T-72 MBT, designed to rescue damaged tanks and other armored vehicles on the battlefield without constant repair and maintenance.
Damaged cars under fire, or helping the crew to repair the facility.
BREM-1 on the chassis of the MBT T-72A with a V-46 multi-fuel diesel engine with an HP 780 power.
Crew of three. It is equipped with a pre-start bulldozer, cranes of 19 tons.
The thrust of the main winch is up to 25 tons, when using a pulley group, an increase of up to 100 tons is possible.
The maximum towing capacity is 50 tons. The body of this ARV has the same level of protection as the T-72 MBT.
Production of the BREM-1 began in 1984, and in 1990 342 vehicles were delivered.
