T-64BM Bulat - Ukrainian upgrade of the aging Soviet main battle tank T-64B.
There are more than 2,200 old T-64 main battle tanks (MBTs) in Ukraine.

Bulat was introduced in 1999. Initially, two upgrade options were offered - T-64BM (also known as T-64U) and T-64BM2.

The T-64BM2 was equipped with a new automatic loader but had a lower fire control system.
As a result, a more advanced modernization of the T-64BM was chosen. The first vehicles were upgraded and handed over to Ukrainian army units in 2005.
In 2014, this MBT saw action during the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine.
However, recently all the surviving T-64BM tanks were repaired and put into storage.
