Plastic model of the Soviet heavy tank KV-1S/85 in 1/35 scale, Trumpeter 01567.

The kit includes:
sprues with parts,
lower body,
copper cable,
metal stem,
photo etching,
decal,
scheme for coloring the model,
step-by-step instruction.

Dimensions of the finished model: Length 234.5 mm, Width: 94.8 mm.

KV-1S - A lighter late 1942 variant with greater speed but thinner armour. A new smaller cast turret and a redesigned rear hull were used. 1370 were built.
In response to criticism, the lighter KV-1S (Russian: КВ-1С) was released with thinner armor and a smaller, lower turret to regain some speed. It is important to note that the KV-1s also had a commander's cupola with all-round vision blocks, a first for a Soviet heavy tank.
However, the thinning of the armor called into question why the tank was produced at all, when the T-34, it would seem, could do everything that the KV could, and much cheaper.
