Description
Assembly model 1/35 German tank Leopard 2A6 Italeri 6567
The Leopard 2 was developed in the 1970s to provide the West German armored forces with a modern and efficient tank capable of replacing the Leopard 1. Armed with a 120 mm cannon and thanks to a 12-cylinder turbodiesel engine, it is capable of moving at a top speed of 68 km/h. It entered service in 1979, but despite constant improvements in technology, weapons and protection, it is still considered one of the best main battle tanks in the world. In detail, the Leopard 2 A6 represents a marked improvement over the first versions. Armed with a 120 mm Rheinmetall L/55 cannon, it is equipped with modern third-generation protection made from composite materials. The profile of the turret and gun protection is designed to minimize the impact of projectiles and anti-tank weapons.
