M24 "Chaffee" (English M24 Chaffee) is an American light tank of the Second World War period. Named after the founder of the US Armored Forces, Major General Edna Romanz Chaffee. The tank was developed in 1943, and in April 1944 it began to be serially produced. But already in August 1945, it was withdrawn from serial production. A total of 4,731 tanks were produced. Most of these tanks were supplied to other countries.
