The US Marine Corps is expanding its armored personnel carrier fleet with the new LAV-A2 eight-wheeled light armored vehicle. The LAV-A2 tetraaxial ATC is an advanced version of the Marine Corps light armored vehicle that has been used by the USMC since the 1980s and continues to serve to this day. The light armored vehicle-A2 is fully equipped with a modern target designation system, including a laser rangefinder and a thermal imager.
