M114 (English: M114 Command and Reconnaissance Carrier) is an American armored personnel carrier, developed on the basis of the M113, which was used as a KShM, a combat reconnaissance vehicle and was in service with the mechanized troops of the US Army. The combat vehicle was developed by the Cadillac division of General Motors in the early 1960s as a fast reconnaissance armored vehicle to be used in conjunction with the M113 armored personnel carrier. In size, it was slightly smaller than an armored personnel carrier, but unlike the well-known M113, it did not show high qualities during the hostilities in Vietnam, so already in the early 1970s
