The Leopard 1 is a modern second-generation German main battle tank. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created in 1961, and mass production continued in 1965-1979, completing the production of more than 4,700 tanks. The Leopard 1 is powered by an MTU MB 838 Ca-M engine with 830 hp. The vehicle is armed with one 105 mm L7 A3 semi-automatic cannon and two 7.62 mm MG3 machine guns.
