Tiran-4 - Israeli tank of the post-war period. The first machines of this type appeared in service after 1967. The Tiran 4 tank was armed with one 100 mm cannon and two Browning machine guns of 7.62 and 12.7 mm caliber. As a result of the huge military success of Israel - the Six-Day War (1967), a huge amount of captured military equipment fell into the hands of the armed forces of this country - including hundreds of T-54 and T-55 tanks. (mostly Egyptian). The Israeli army very soon after the end of hostilities decided to use them for their own purposes and upgrade accordingly. Thus, the Tiran family of tanks was created, one of the first representatives of which is the Tiran-4.
