Soviet light tank during World War II. Developed in 1940 at plant number 174 in Leningrad under the direction of S. A. Ginzburg. Also, designers I.S. Bushnev and L. took an active part in its creation. S. Troyanov. In 1941, the T-50 was adopted by the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army, and plant No. 174 began its serial production. However, after the start of the Great Patriotic War, due to the threat of the capture of Leningrad by the enemy, Plant No. 174 was first evacuated to Chkalov (Orenburg), then again to Omsk.
