The M-3 was an American medium tank used during World War II. The Americans would refer to the tank as Lee (named after Confederate General Lee), however after a few minor modifications the tank would become known as Grant (named after Union General Grant).
The main difference between Grant and Lee is the turret configuration and toolboxes. Grant's turret is noticeably elongated at the rear. This was done to install wireless device #19. This also provided the crew with stronger armor, however the machine gun turret seen on the Lee turret was removed.
