In 1941-1942, Daimler-Benz built 58 Sd.Kfz headquarters armored vehicles. 247 Ausf B, based on the serial four-wheel chassis "Horch" 801 / EG 1.
This chassis was produced from 1935 to 1940 and was used for the production of Sd.Kfz light armored vehicles. 221.
Its feature was the rear location of the engine, which did not suit the designers of the Daimler-Benz company, so they moved the engine forward.
