The Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) truck was a class of military trucks of various shapes produced in large numbers in Canada during the Second World War to British Army specifications for use by the allied armies of the British Commonwealth. Most CMP trucks were manufactured by the Chevrolet division of General Motors of Canada Ltd. and the Canadian Ford Motor Company. Just over 500,000 CMP trucks were produced in Canada, representing approximately two-thirds of the 815,729 military vehicles produced in Canada during World War II. Canadian CMP truck production exceeded Nazi Germany's total military truck production.
