12.8 cm PaK 44 (German 12.8 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 44 - 12.8 cm anti-tank gun of the 1944 model of the year) was a heavy anti-tank gun used by the German ground forces at the final stage of World War II. At the time of its appearance and until the end of the war, it had no analogues in terms of firing range and armor penetration, however, the excessive weight and dimensions of the gun nullified these advantages.
