The Centurion Artillery and Mortar System (C-RAM) is a ground-based, high-speed, computer-controlled radar and 20 mm gun counterinsurgency system that automatically intercepts rockets, artillery and mortar rounds in mid-air before impact. Since 2006, C-RAM has defended the US base in the Green Zone in Baghdad against more than 100 enemy rockets and mortars. The Oshkosh Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) type A3 is a diesel-electric hybrid version.
