SU-101 is a Soviet medium self-propelled artillery mount (SAO) of the Second World War. It was created in the UZTM design bureau in the fall of 1944 - spring of 1945 on the basis of the chassis of the T-44 and T-34-85 medium tanks and was intended to replace the SU-100 self-propelled artillery mount. Two types of self-propelled guns were developed, differing only in armament: the SU-101, with a 100-mm D-10S gun, and the SU-102, with a 122-mm D-25-44S gun.
