Marder III ("Marten") - light weight German anti-tank self-propelled guns of the Second World War. The official German names for self-propelled guns with 76-mm guns: 7.62 cm Pak (r) auf Fgst. Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) (Sd.Kfz.139), later - 7.62 cm Pak. 36 (Sfl.) in Pz.Kpfw. 38 (t) and Panzerjager 38 7.62 cm Pak 36 (Sd.Kfz.139). It was a lightly armored self-propelled gun on the chassis of a Pz.Kpfw.38(t) light tank. The gun was installed in an open cabin. These machines were actively used on all fronts of World War II. Most of them were used on the Eastern Front. Gun: 75 mm Pak 40 or 76 mm Pak 36(r) in the modification 7.62 cm Pak.36 (Pz.Sfl.2) - converted captured Soviet 76 mm divisional gun F-22 model 1936.
