1/35 scale model of the German 88mm PAK43/41 gun, Trumpeter 02308.

The kit includes:
7 summers with details
tires
brass pipe
metal barrel
photoetching
scheme for painting the model,
step by step instructions.

Length: 258 mm Width: 69.5 mm

The special 8.8 cm PaK 43 anti-tank gun was developed from Krupp's Gerät 42 mentioned above. It used a new cruciform mount with the gun much closer to the ground, making it much easier to hide and harder to hit. It was also fitted with a much stronger and more angular armor shield to provide better protection. The Tiger II's standard armament, the KwK 43 tank gun, was essentially a PaK 43, externally modified for turret mounting. There were also self-propelled versions of the gun, including the Nashorn and Jagdpanther tank destroyers. All versions were able to penetrate about 200 mm of armor at 1000 m, allowing it to defeat the armor of any modern tank.
