Ford Mustang is a Pony car segment car manufactured by Ford Motor Company.
The initial version (1964/1965 - 1973) was created on the basis of units from the Ford Falcon family sedan. The first serial Mustang was released on March 9, 1964 as a 1965 model (also among collectors for Mustangs released before the fall of 1964, the unofficial designation "model 1964 1/2" is used). On April 17, the car was presented to the public in New York, and on April 19, it was shown on all three American television networks. The car's promotion was accompanied by an active advertising campaign. It was one of the most successful premieres in the history of the automotive industry. Over a million Mustangs were sold in the
