Landing Craft Air Cushion (abbreviated as LCAC) is a modern American air cushion transport boat. The first prototypes of the machine were created in the 1980s, and mass production began in 1986 and continues to this day. It is estimated that about 90 machines of this type were produced. The LCAC is powered by four gas turbines. The armament of a hovercraft usually consists of two 12.7 mm machine guns, but it is possible to expand it with additional machine guns or automatic grenade launchers.
