HMS Hood (ЕВК "Худ") is a battlecruiser of the British Navy. Named in honor of Samuel Hood, an English admiral of the 18th-19th centuries.
When building "Hood", it was planned to take into account the experience of the Battle of Jutland, as a result of which the British Royal Navy lost three battlecruisers. Despite all the improvements, the ship was lost on May 24, 1941 in a battle with the German battleship Bismarck.
