HMS Kent was a Royal Navy heavy cruiser built in 1928. The Kent class is a subtype of the first ship of the County class cruisers. After completion, the ship was sent to China. HMS Kent in late 1939 in the eastern Indian Ocean to take part in the hunt for the German pocket battleship Admiral Graf Spee in early 1940 and then transferred to the Indian Army escort mission. In mid-1940, he was transferred to the Mediterranean. but shortly after arrival it was torpedoed, and then it was repaired for a year. After the repair, the tasks of protecting the local fleet and intercepting the enemy fleet were carried out.
