"Bismarck" (German: Bismarck) is a battleship of the German naval forces of the Third Reich, one of the most powerful and famous warships of World War II. The first ship of the "Bismarck" class, named after German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck. Built at the Blom & Voss shipyard in February 1939.
Known for his solo campaign across the North Atlantic, during which he sank several British ships, including sinking the pride of the then British fleet - the battlecruiser "Hood" in the Denmark Strait in May 1941. By personal order of Winston Churchill, the best forces of the British Navy were hunted down for the Bismarck: it was sunk on May 27, 1941, in the Atlantic Ocean.
