"Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Kuznetsov" is a Soviet (until 1991) and Russian (heavy) aircraft carrier cruiser (AKR or VAKR) of project 1143.5 (code "Krechet", English Kuznetsov class according to NATO classification) built in the last years of the Soviet Union at the Black Sea Shipbuilding Plant in Mykolaiv (Ukrainian SSR) for the USSR Navy.
When laid down, it was called "Riga", launched under the name "Tbilisi". On October 4, 1990, by order of the USSR Minister of Defense, it was renamed "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Kuznetsov."
