"Indianapolis" (English: USS Indianapolis, CA-35) is an American heavy cruiser of the Portland type.
Sunk on July 30, 1945. The disaster of the cruiser went down in the history of the US Navy as the most massive loss of personnel (883 people) as a result of a single sinking.
Indianapolis became the last large ship of the US Navy sunk in World War II.
