Description
Assembly model 1/72 Union Infantry and Zouaves Italeri 6012
Throughout the Civil War, Union infantry bore the brunt of the most famous battles, suffering the greatest number of casualties. Their uniform was characterized by a typical blue jacket. Officers often wore a tailored frock coat, longer than the jacket. Many infantry units adopted uniforms similar to those of the French Zouave, made famous during the Crimean and Italian campaigns, with dark blue jackets decorated with red, white gaiters and the typical very wide trousers, also red. The uniform was completed with a red fez with a tassel.
