Mi-24 is a Soviet infantry support helicopter (attack helicopter). It was the main attack helicopter of the socialist countries. The concept of the Mi-24 provided for close interaction with armored and infantry units during the large-scale military conflict of the second half of the 20th century. It became one of the symbols of the War in Afghanistan. It is currently in service with a number of countries, including Ukraine.
