The Bell UH-1 Mohawk helicopter, commonly known as the Huey, is a multi-role military helicopter developed by the United States Air Force in 1955 based on the Bell-204 Military helicopter. At first, the military gave him the number HU-1. It was first used for military purposes in 1959. Starting in 1962, all production models were similarly renamed the UH-1 series.
