Eurocopter (now: Airbus Helikopter) EC145 is a modern German-French light multi-purpose helicopter with a non-retractable landing gear of a classic layout with main and tail rotors on the beam. The drive is provided by two Turbomeca Arriel 1E2 engines with a power of 770 hp each. The flight of the first prototype took place in 1999. Serial production began in 2002 and continues to this day.
