Description
American multipurpose helicopter. Entered service with the US Army replacing the Bell UH-1 helicopter. Until 1985, the US Army purchased more than 300 UH-60 helicopters. By the mid 1990s. more than 2600 helicopters were built. For 2014, it is the most common military helicopter in the world. When installing additional pylons, it can be equipped with an AGM-114 Hellfire ATGM, additional fuel tanks for long-range flights. The M240 and M134 machine guns can also be mounted in front of the cargo hold. The current model used by the US Army is the UH-60M.
