The F-14A Tomcat is an American two-seat carrier-based fighter-interceptor, developed by Grumman in the early 1970s to replace the F-4 Phantom II in the US Navy. It was the first American fourth-generation fighter and the only one capable of carrying the AIM-54 Phoenix missile.
