The Chinese J-31 Gyrfalcon (also known as Falcon Eagle or Falcon Hawk) is a 5th generation stealth fighter being developed by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of AVIC Aviation Industry Corporation of China.
The medium-sized single-seat aircraft has a twin-engine and two-keel layout. The first flight took place on October 31, 2012, and in November 2014, the J-31 31001 prototype made its debut at the 10th China International Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. A scale model of the updated J-31 was unveiled at the 2016 Zhuhai Air Show.
The J-31 Falcon Eagle has two internal weapons bays and can carry additional weapons under the wing.
