The Tu-95 (NATO code: Bear) is a strategic missile-carrying bomber developed and adopted by the USSR in the 1950s. The Tu-95 was created as an analogue of the American strategic bomber Convair B-36 "Peacemaker". This aircraft, which became one of the symbols of the Cold War, was intended for the destruction of strategic objects behind enemy lines, in any weather conditions and at any time of the day.
