F-15E Strike Eagle is an American two-seater multi-role fighter based on the F-15 Eagle. It was developed in the 1980s to launch airstrikes against highly protected targets without the use of escort aircraft or electronic warfare. The first flight of the F-15E took place on December 11, 1986.
Aircraft of this type were used in combat operations in Iraq, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Yemen and Libya. During them, the F-15E carried out airstrikes on important targets, provided direct support to allied forces and air patrols.
The main user is the US Air Force, in addition, the F-15E was exported to Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Singapore. As of the end of 2013, 422 aircraft were produced.
