Avia CS-199 is a Czechoslovak modification of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter, produced after World War II. In 1947, based on the concluded contracts, Czechoslovakia modernized and adapted the Bf 109G-6, renaming it the CS-199. A modified version of the Bf 109G-6, with improvements adapted to the requirements of the post-war aviation of Czechoslovakia. The main engine was a Daimler-Benz DB 605 (1,475 hp), which had been upgraded for increased reliability and performance. The design was reminiscent of the original Bf 109G-6, with a distinctive profile and improved aerodynamics.
