The F-14 Tomcat is a two-seat jet carrier-based interceptor, a fourth-generation multi-role fighter with a variable-sweep wing manufactured by Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation.
Developed in the early 1970s to replace the F-4 Phantom II. It was exported to Iran until the Islamic Revolution of 1978, where it is still in service. Decommissioned from service in the US Navy in 2006 and replaced by the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet.

The latest modification of the F-14 with GE F110-400 engines. Analog onboard equipment was replaced with digital, and a new APG-71 radar was also installed. 37 aircraft of the F-14D modification were built, another 18 were converted from the F-1
