Consolidated B-24 "Liberator" (English: Consolidated B-24 Liberator) is an American heavy bomber developed by the aviation company "Consolidated Aircraft" in San Diego (California). Early in design and development, the aircraft model was known as the Model 32, and a small number of early examples were sold as the LB-30 bomber. During World War II, the Consolidated B-24 Liberator was used extensively by all branches of the US armed forces, as well as by many Allied air forces and navies. The aircraft gained an outstanding track record during the war, being involved in operations in Western Europe, the Pacific Theater, the Mediterranean, China, Burma, and India.
