KV-1 (abbreviation of Klim Voroshilov) is a Soviet heavy tank of the Second World War. Usually called simply "KV": the tank was created under this name and only later, after the appearance of the KV-2 tank, the KV of the first sample received a digital index. It was produced from March 1940 to August 1942. It took part in the war with Finland and the German-Soviet war.
